The Sixth Yerevan Book Fair opened at The National Children’s Library after Khnko Aper, on February 17.
The three-day fair also hosted Printing Department of Holy Echmiadzin, which represents about 50 new publications in the field of theology, Armenian studies and rituals. The event was attended by about 30 Armenian publishing houses in Yerevan. In 2012 Armenia will celebrate 500 years of publishing the first printed book. For the same reason UNESCO declared Yerevan the World Book Capital.

Central California’s KSEE TV 24 will broadcast an exclusive travel series about Armenia starting Monday, February 21. The travel series was taped in December when KSEE veteran anchorwoman Stefani Booroojian was invited to her ancestral homeland.
KSEE’s travel series is titled Stefani’s Armenia and it will feature Armenian city and village life, resort towns, historic and ancient cathedrals, as well as Armenian cuisine and wine tourism. The series also features Americans, including Fresno natives, who have repatriated to Armenia and living in its capital city.
The series also includes non-tourism stories about the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry, repatriation, the Genocide, and the Armenian cuisine.
The stories called “Stefani’s Armenia” will also be available online at www.ksee24.com.
